Edit Your Website
To edit a departmental website you will need access to the MCC webserver. If you are not the Chair, Director, or Manager of the department in question - please be sure to include them on the initial email to Web Services.
Contribute Access Using a Key
Please follow the steps below to request Contribute access to your departmental website.
Contribute does not work for websites in the /users/ folders.

- Email Web Services at webhelp@mcmail.maricopa.edu
a) requesting access to the desired folder(s) (we need the URL(s) of the website),
b) informing your department manager, director, or chair, that you will be editing the website and
c) please include your telephone number - We will then generate a Contribute KEY which will be emailed to you.
- Save the email attachment to the desktop of the computer where you will be doing your website edits.
The attachment is the KEY. - Double-click the KEY to launch Contribute.
- Log into Contribute the first time using your username (your regular MCC network access username) and the KEY's password (this password will be in the email containing the KEY).
- When Contribute connects to the website you should find yourself on the homepage of the site to which you requested access.
- Once you are on the correct page - click the EDIT button in the upper left corner of the screen.
- Complete your website edits.
- Click PUBLISH when you are satisfied with your edits and voila, you are finished!
Dreamweaver - Read/Write Access
This type of access should only be used by an individual well-versed in html editing & server behaviors. This individual should understand the consequences of deleting or "mangling beyond repair" the website to which they have access! With that said, if you are that saavy person - then please follow the steps below:

- Email WS at webhelp@mcmail.maricopa.edu requesting access to the desired folder (we need the URL of the website).
Remember to include your department manager or chair on this email. - WS will then request the HelpCenter to submit a request to the Server Team in ITS.
- We should both receive an email confirmation from the HelpCenter that the Ticket has been generated.
- Within 1 - 48 hours the access should be in place. We will receive another email from the Server Team confirming this.
- If you need to setup an FTP program to upload your files, please follow the FTP directions provided by the Helpdesk.
- For Dreamweaver site setup - please follow the Dreamweaver instructions here.
If you require help working with Dreamweaver or an FTP program, please contact the CTL.
A Small Reminder
