Program Location

One of the world's largest, oldest, and most fascinating cities, Mexico City is the heart of Mexican history, politics, and culture. The city was originally founded by the Mexicas (the Aztecs) in the 1300's as Tenochtitlan. It became the Mexican capital when Mexico gained independence from Spain in 1821. With an urban population of 20-25 million, this modern city offers many varied activities and provides an important insight into Mexican history and culture.
