Seek Advisement

You should see a Transfer advisor if:

  • You have completed college coursework at MCC or another institution and plan to transfer
  • You are in your first semester at MCC and you plan to attend a 4-year university
  • You need assistance in choosing coursework appropriate for your major or to develop an educational plan
  • You need information about your transfer university
  • You need to project your potential graduation date and transfer date to a university

An advisor can help you:

  • Develop an individual education plan
  • Review educational progress
  • Discuss anticipated transfer date
  • Discuss application procedures to universities and/or specific programs
  • Discuss majors & university choices
  • Assistance in creation of Planning Guides and Transfer Guides
  • College/university contacts for re-entry assistance

Visiting University Advisors and Admissions Representatives at MCC:

Transfer Services schedules several colleges and universities each semester to visit MCC. Check out the Schedule of Visiting Universities to see which schools will be at MCC this semester.

Computers to:

  • Research transfer schools and program information
  • Apply online
  • Access the Course Applicability System (CAS) and the Course Equivalency Guide (CEG)
  • Apply for financial aid or apply for scholarships
  • Register for classes or any other enrollment related work

Office staff members are nearby to answer any questions.
