Congratulations!

Because of your academic success at Mesa Community College you have met the requirements to join Phi Theta Kappa, the International Honor Society of two year colleges. The specific requirements are listed in the New Member Application Packet. Please ensure your eligibility by reviewing them.

Phi Theta Kappa - ΦΘΚ - was founded in 1918 and has been recognized as an organization to promote scholarship and to honor academic excellence. Members are encouraged to actively participate in the Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Fellowship hallmarks of the organization.

The benefits of joining Phi Theta Kappa include an invitation to attend a formal induction ceremony. Please note the induction date in the New Member Application Packet. Membership provides opportunities to attend regional and national leadership conferences, participate in community service projects, and develop personal and professional relationships. Members also become eligible for $35 million in scholarship opportunities.

All members receive a gold embossed membership certificate and a golden key membership lapel pin. In addition, membership is noted on official college transcripts and diploma, graduates are noted in the commencement program, and members have the privilege of wearing the Phi Theta Kappa honor stole
and tassel during the graduation ceremony.

Again, congratulations on your outstanding academic accomplishments. I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity by attending one of the scheduled new member orientations and learning more about Phi Theta Kappa.
