This is accomplished by first creating a "home" for alumni members to come back to through the new Alumni Association. Alumni members are invited to participate in fundraising efforts at the semester inductions and can give back through the many service projects that Omicron Beta participates in through out the year, like Relay for Life and the Special Olympics. Current members have the opportunity to network with professionals, academics, and service people who are examples of the success that can be found after completing their degrees at Mesa Community College. The role of the Alumni Relations Officer is to help foster these relationships and maintain communication with Omicron Beta Alumni as the have gone out into the world to pursue their dreams.

5. What are your goals for Phi Theta Kappa?

This is the first year that the Alumni Relations officer position has existed, so my first goal is to administratively support the chartering of the Alumni Association through both Mesa Community College and Phi Theta Kappa International. I am responsible for celebrating the charter at a special Homecoming event in the fall, and hope to raise a substantial endowment scholarship at this event that will help support the academic efforts of Phi Theta Kappa members.
