Emily Nudell, Campus Events for Red Mountain Campus
1. Major: Psychology
2. Desired Career Goals: I will be transferring to GCU in the fall of 2016 to continue my degree. At this point, I am not sure exactly what kind of career I want. I just know I want to work in something I am passionate about. I love all music and am also passionate about every aspect of health and wellness. I hope to do something related to one or both of those fields. I want to help people in some way or make a difference in society, no matter how small. I have thought about different types of psychological therapies and counseling, working in a health & wellness center, life coaching, working in social work or with a non-profit, and even maybe music therapy.
3. Strength Quest results: Achiever, Futuristic, Learner, Includer, Arranger.
4. Position description:
As the Campus Events Officer of Red Mountain, I am responsible for planning and supervising events for the Red Mountain campus. I run the planning of Red Mountain events with my fellow Red Mountain officers and members and help with other campus events of activities that Phi Theta Kappa is involved in. I inform members of events coming up and how they can get involved and plan tables for recruitment. I make sure the events are organized and we have everything we need. I also may work with the Campus Events Officer of Southern & Dobson to plan and organize events that incorporate both campuses.
5. What are your goals for Phi Theta Kappa?
I hope to be a great support to our Phi Theta Kappa chapter and make our time together both fun and productive. I want to keep our chapter active and involved on the Red Mountain campus and get the Red Mountain members involved in events on both campuses. I hope to have many successful and enjoyable events for Phi Theta Kappa members and MCC students, as well as contribute to make the Omicron Beta Chapter great.
