Special Olympics Retrospective

The 2010 Special Olympics Arizona Summer Games featured track and field events, artistic and rhythmic gymnastics, kayaking, power lifting, tennis, equestrian and volleyball. With roughly 140 student, faculty, and staff volunteers donating approximately 700 hours of service at the event, the 2010 Games were MCC's most successful yet!

Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
