Professional Development

MCC Interpreters are encouraged to continue their professional development. Community workshops are periodically available and are posted on the RID website.

An MCC blog has been created to assist Interpreters in locating regional workshops.

You will need a username and password to access this blog. Please email the Supervisor of Interpreting Services, Adam Russell, at adamkrussell@mesacc.edu, or the Coordinator of Interpreting Services, Marisa Park, at marisa.park@mcmail.maricopa.edu to request one.

The blog is updated regularly to assist you in completing your required CEU's (continuing education units).

Once you have access to the blog, you are invited to dialogue on scenarios with ethical dilemmas that are encountered while interpreting. We recommend that you participate regularly and become an active member. If you have a new topic or information of interest you would like post, please submit to the Supervisor or Coordinator of Interpreting Services.

Additionally, MCC Interpreters are strongly encouraged to hold membership with our local Arizona RID chapter.
