SPORT: Cross-Country and Track & Field

TRIBAL AFFILIATION: Navajo

WHY MCC: It was closer to home and my family. I wanted a college where my family is able to come see me race.

INTERESTING FACTS/HOBBIES/ETC: I was the former Miss Junior High Princess of 2008-2009; Miss Tse’yi of Chinle High School of 2009-2010; Miss Central Navajo Teen 2011-2012; I play multiple instruments and I enjoy drawing, singing, hiking, running for fun, and I really enjoy eating.

FAVORITE FOOD: Spaghetti, Mutton, Fry Bread, Potatoes with spam or ground beef, rice with ketchup, and well done cooked steak.

FAVORITE MOVIE: Titanic, 8 Seconds, Urban Cowboy, Pure Country, Rush Hour, Lion King, Little Mermaid, Dear John, the Last Song, Smoke Signal, and Pitch Perfect.

ACADEMIC AND SPORTS GOALS AFTER MCC: Continue running for another college or university team.  And continue doing what I need to do in getting all my degrees.

WHAT MOTIVATES/INSPIRES YOU TO DO GOOD IN SCHOOL/YOUR SPORT? Praying every morning and night.  Reading my Bible with my father and believing and having that relationship with God.  Philippians 4:13 “For I can do all things through Christ, who gives me strength.”

WHO HAVE BEEN YOUR ROLE MODELS IN LIFE OR SPORTS? My High School coach Shaun Martin, Miss Navajo Nation of 2008-2009 Jocelyn Billy, my grandpa Dennis Clah, my great grandma Lilly Lee (101 years old), and my father Bennert Yazzie.
