This course will prepare the successful student to receive the "Certified IPC Specialist" (CIS) certification from The Institute for Interconnecting and Packaging Electronic Circuits (IPC)/Wire Harness Manufacturer's Association (WHMA) in "Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies" (IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certification). Topics covered and skills to be demonstrated are: soldered terminations, crimp terminations, insulation displacement terminations (IDC), splices, connectorization, marking/labeling, coaxial cable assemblies, electrical shielding, wire marking and labeling, and testing methodologies. Currently uses Office 2016/365 for Mac to complete Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Mac students will use a database (TBD) selected by instructor to complete the database portion of the course. This will not be included in the ebook. Windows student?s? will complete the database portion of the course using Access which is included in the book.
