MCC Dumpster Dive - Part of America Recycles Day
What's It All About?
MCC's Annual Dumpster Dive - a Friday in mid-November each year - Clock Tower lawns, 8am-noon
The Dumpster Dive is free, educational, interesting, and most importantly, FUN!!! We will use lawn space to conduct an audit of campus waste that is collected over a 24-hour period. Join us for a fun event to help improve recycling and waste reduction and diversion at MCC.
Volunteers needed! Contact recycle@mcmail.maricopa.edu to sign up as a volunteer or to get more information. Both clean and dirty jobs available. Anyone can participate: students, employees, community members, clubs!
Students may be able to receive class credit; talk to your instructors or check with Service-Learning to find out more.
This event is listed as one of several local events in conjunction with America Recycles Day www.americarecyclesday.org

See photos from past Dives. See the amount of recyclable items we recover and save from the landfill. Recycling awareness has increased on campus with each event, but students change every semester, so we are trying to find a way to keep the awareness going each semester. Hopefully these photos will help.
