CCNCCC has developed this monograph as a resource for those involved in service-learning who want to improve both their programs and their awareness of the far-reaching as well as the immediate impacts their programs have.

MISSION:
The Campus Compact National Center for Community Colleges, established in 1990, has a dual mission. First, it serves as a national advocate for community colleges to sustain service-learning as a national movement. Second, it serves member organizations and others in the promotion and implementation of community service as a means of teaching and learning to the benefit of students and the communities in which they serve.
