Mesa Community College DJ Program Takes Center Stage at Mesa Music Festival

MESA, Arizona -- April 17, 2024 -- Mesa Community College invites the community to the DJ program’s performances at the Mesa Music Festival 5:50-6:20 p.m., April 19, at the Mesa Mural stage and 7:30-8 p.m., April 20 at the Mesa Mural stage. Free and open to the public, the event features more than 200 performances by emerging artists.

"The Mesa Music Festival represents a pivotal moment for our students to demonstrate their skills and passion for music entertainment," said James Gaspar, DJ team coordinator at Mesa Community College. "Through this immersive experience, our students gain valuable real-world training that prepares them for successful careers in the industry."

Multiple students will take the stage in group performances featuring a diverse array of DJs and live vocalists, including original works of art. “These performances not only highlight the creativity and technical expertise of our students, but also serve as a testament to the program's dedication to nurturing emerging talent,” said Gaspar.

As the first and only accredited program of its kind, MCC's DJ Performance Techniques program provides students with the opportunity to earn degrees or certificates in DJ performance. The program's innovative curriculum is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the dynamic world of music entertainment.
