MCC Automotive Service Program maintains highest level of national accreditation

MESA, Arizona – Sept. 14, 2020 -- The Mesa Community College Automotive Service program maintains its Master Automobile Service Technology Accreditation, the highest level of program accreditation the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). This accreditation is valid through Feb. 1, 2025.

To achieve this coveted recognition, the college’s automotive service program underwent rigorous evaluation by ASE. Nationally accepted standards of excellence in areas such as instruction, facilities and equipment were evaluated.

A letter from the ASE Education Foundation states, “We commend you and your staff for maintaining your program’s standards, and continuing to meet the industry’s requirements. The explosion in automotive technology makes your high quality automotive training program more valuable than ever.”

MCC Occupational Program Director Steve Skroch said, “We set our standards high by partnering with some of the top automotive makers. Providing real world experiences and challenges gives our students the confidence to demonstrate their skills to future employers. MCC graduates are known for not only the knowledge to diagnose and repair vehicles but also how to communicate effectively with their colleagues and customers.”
