MESA, Arizona – April 7, 2020 -- The Automotive Service Program at Mesa Community College earns reaccreditation from the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) and the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), maintaining Master Automobile Service Technology Accreditation, the highest level of program accreditation recognized by the Institute.
To achieve this coveted recognition, the college’s automotive training program underwent rigorous evaluation by NATEF. Nationally accepted standards of excellence in areas such as instruction, facilities, and equipment were evaluated.
A letter from NATEF states, in part, “We commend you and your staff for maintaining your program’s standards, and continuing to meet the industry’s requirements. The explosion in automotive technology makes your high-quality automotive training program more valuable than ever.”
MCC Occupational Program Director Steve Skroch said, “We set our standards high to ensure our students are receiving the best education possible in our program, ensuring their future employers they are skilled in using today's technologies to diagnose problems, able to perform quality repairs in a timely manner and have the vital customer service skills required in today's market."
