The Phoenix New Times reported on MCC art student Chandlee Begay, who is still in the process of discovering who he is as an artist and how to best express his passion for the rich cultural and natural history of the Colorado river Plateau. His work was on exhibit at The Hive Gallery in Phoenix. Photography, assemblage, weaving and painting are some of the media he has used to express his influence from the Four Corners region and his interest in traditional stories, Native heritage, ancient cultural sites and distinctive geological features.
