National Junior Disability Championships are happening this week at MCC.

More than 200 athletes from Arizona to Thailand registered for this year's week-long championships, which kicked off with an opening ceremony and social Sunday. This is the third time the games, expected to inject about $700,000 into Mesa's economy, have come to the city since 1997.
