What is Veterinary Technology?

The Veterinary Technology/Animal Health program provides you with the skills and knowledge you’ll need to function as professional technical support to veterinarians, biomedical researchers and other scientists, animal control, and humane organizations. You’ll study the basic medical sciences, animal care and management, veterinary medical care, and client communications and service. The program includes practical clinical experience in veterinary emergency, large animal, small animal, and specialty practices in laboratories, humane societies, and other facilities.

Program Advisement

For acceptance into the Veterinary Technology Program you must complete the pre-requisite block of classes to qualify for an application to the program.

Location

Our offices are located in the TC 50 building on the Southern & Dobson campus. Labs meet in an off-site location.

Hours

Spring & Fall Semesters:
Monday - Thursday: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
