
Mike Greenwood is the Manager of Public Affairs at General Dynamics C4 Systems, a manufacturer of high-performance space and missile defense systems for the U.S. Department of Defense and NASA. In this position, he is responsible for all information disseminated publicly about the company’s Spectrum Astro Space Systems business area, including news releases and newsletters, advertising, and other forms of corporate communication.
From 2000-2004, Mike managed the public affairs for Spectrum Astro, Inc., a privately held aerospace company. General Dynamics purchased Spectrum Astro in July 2004. Previous to his career in corporate public affairs, he spent ten years in the television news industry. From 1990 to 1995, he was employed at KTVI-TV, the ABC affiliate in St. Louis, Missouri, first as a producer and then Executive Producer in the Sports Department.
In July 1995, he accepted the position of Executive Producer of the Sports Department at KPNX-TV, the NBC affiliate in Phoenix, Arizona. While in that position, he produced three weekly sports shows, Sports Tonight, Suns Jam Session, and Saturday Sports Jam, in addition to the sports coverage on nightly newscasts.
In addition to receiving a B.A. in History from the University of Missouri, Mr. Greenwood studied Mass Communications and Broadcast Journalism at Southern Illinois University, completing all requirements for a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications.
