Mesa Community College offers a Registered Nurse Refresher program on the internet. The program consists of two courses that are approved by the Arizona State Board of Nursing for licensure in the state of Arizona only.
NUR228 Registered Nurse Refresher - 5 Credits Review of Nursing Theory
Refreshers can choose to be reviewed in any or all of the following:
- Medical / Surgical Nursing
- Obstetrical Nursing
- Pediatric Nursing
- Psychiatric Nursing
NUR 229 Registered Nurse Preceptorship - 4 Credits Clinical
The clinical course will start after the theory course. There is an orientation to clinical at MCC. Students are required to attend this orientation.
These courses are not intended for nursing school graduates wanting to prepare for NCLEX-RN.
