Music Business Transfer Opportunities
By completing the Music Business program at MCC you have the opportunity to earn a 2-year Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree, or a shorter Music Business Certificate of Completion (C.C.L.).
MCC Music Business Students also have the option of transferring to a 4-year University to complete a Bachelor's degree.
Bachelor Degree options include:
- Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.)- Community College credits are, generally, accepted in complete block from the A.A.S. degree and students, typically, start at the Junior level when transferring to the University.
- Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.)- Community College credits are assessed on a class-by-class basis. Students with an A.A.S. degree may start as Freshman or Sophmores when transferring to the University.

The state Course Equivalency Guide designates how a course transfers to Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, and the University of Arizona from the Arizona public community colleges. MCC Music Business Program Checksheet
The Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Music Business program is an innovative curriculum designed to prepare students for today’s music industry. The certificate and degree with a music business emphasis are designed for both the performing musician and the business student with limited performing experience. This program combines a flexible curriculum with an emphasis in business and marketing, along with music industry-related courses and experiences. Requirements: Students must earn a grade of “C” or better in all courses within the program. Download the checksheet here.
