MCC Programs - Transfer Opportunities

Transfer to state universities: Arizona State University, Northern Arizona Univsersity and University of Arizona require auditions for admission and should be discussed with MCC Music faculty for adequate preparation in addition to the completion of the recommended course of study.

Bachelor's degrees in Elementary and Secondary Music Education are also now available through the partnership with MCC and Ottawa University.  Please contact the MCC Music Office at 480-461-7575 for more information.

Mesa Community College also offers Music Methods classes for percussion, low brass, high brass, woodwinds, and strings.

MCC Programs - Degrees and Certificates

The Music Department offers the Associate in Applied Science (AAS) and Certificate of Completion (CCL) in:

* Audio Production Technologies/Sound Design
* Music Business

The MCC Music Department is a resource for transfer education, music education, career and vocational preparation in music technology, music business and music performance. The department offers a wide range of courses and programs in the following areas:

Music Theory and Compositions (MTC)
Music Commerical and Business (MUC)
Music Performance (MUP)
Music Education (MUE)

Courses and programs are designed to enhance students' skills, prepare them for transfer to university programs and equip them with knowledge and skills required to prepare for careers in the music field.
