Music Department Philosophy

Our ultimate purpose is to provide a high quality music education in a stimulating and creative environment. Music majors and non-majors have the opportunity to audition and perform in vocal, instrumental or musical theatre ensembles. The department strives to prepare students for careers in commercial music, music education and performance. MCC prides itself as a leader among community college music programs who prepares students for a successful transfer to an university.

The performance of music is one of the oldest art forms and expresses a rich tradition of which you can become a part. If you have any comments or questions, please feel free to fill out our contact form or call us at (480) 461-7575.
