District Policies Concerning Private Instruction

Private Instruction Course Fee & Scholarship Eligibility Information

In order to receive the 2 credit Private Instruction Course Fee Scholarship (PICFS), a FULL-TIME Music Major must be registered for the following 12 credits:

At least 9 credits of Music Courses* (includes Private Instruction) plus an additional 3 credits of Music and/or General Studies courses.

Cost: 2 Credits $152.00 + $115.00 (course fee) = $267.00

In order to receive the 1 credit Private Instruction Course Fee Scholarship (PICFS), a PART-TIME Music Major must be registered for the following 6 credits:

At least 2 credits of Music Courses* depending on Campus criteria plus an additional 4 credits of Music and/or General Studies courses (includes Private Instruction).

Cost: 1 Credit $76.00

NON-MUSIC MAJORS

Non-Music Majors are not eligible to receive the Private Instruction Course Fee Scholarship (PICFS). The cost of lessons is listed below:

Cost: 1 credit $76.00 + $360.00 (course fee) = $436.00 or 2 credits $152.00 + $720.00 (course fee) = $872.00

* Mandatory courses depending upon program of study or discretion of Music Department.
