Life Science Greenhouse

The MCC Life Science Greenhouse and surrounding compound is a multi-use facility that includes:

  1. Propagation and maintenance of classroom specimens.
  2. Experimentation dome by individual students as well as classroom situations (BIO 105 Environmental Biology).
  3. Vegetables and herb beds for Plants and Society (BIO 108) and the MCC Environmental Action Club.

All greenhouse and outside growing areas follow environmentally sound practices including:

  1. Pesticide-free growing
  2. Biological control whenever possible
  3. Composting
  4. Drip irrigation

To use this facility:

  1. Come join the Environmental Action Club,
  2. Sign up for BIO 105 (Environmental Biology) or BIO 108 (Plants and Society), or
  3. Get involved with a special project.
