Welcome to the Social Work website at Mesa Community College. We are a part of the Social-Cultural Department at MCC. I am the Program Director for Social Work. The Interim Department Chair for Cultural Science is Mona Scott.

What is Social Work?

Social work is a profession that strives to enhance the social functioning of all people and promotes the development of environmental conditions that will help people achieve their maximum potential.

Do you want to be in a profession in which you have transferable skills, and the ability to find work in a wide variety of different employment fields? Social Work may be the field for you.

Location & Hours:

The Cult-Sci department is located on the Southern & Dobson Campus in Building SC14 - in the South/West corner of campus adjacent to the College Safety office and The Children's Center. See a map here.

The Cultural Science Department office hours are Monday - Thursday 8:00 am till 6:00pm. Fridays: 8:00 am till 4:00pm. Closed Fridays during the summer sessions. Closed weekends. My office hours are by appointment only.
