Student Workers Colleen Norris (center) is in her 19th year with MCC including the past 12 years as the Administrative Secretary for the Department of Business and Information Systems (BIS). Colleen is a native Arizonan and a graduate of Mesa Westwood HS. She studied at Maricopa Tech (now GateWay CC) and graduated from MCC. Colleen is currently serving on the PSA Leadership Team and taking a Photoshop class. Her student staff this semester includes (on left) Liz and Alisha, and (right) Lua and Dolores.

Liz Fountain is a freshman Computer Repair and Programming student from North Carolina. She enjoys art, photography and computers. She plans to move on to Arizona State University after completing her studies at MCC. Liz is the mother of 7-year son, Malyki. If computers don't work out, she would like to become a Bounty Hunter.

Alisha Lewis is a freshman from Portland, Oregon. She is studying to earn her AAS in Organizational Management in Victim Advocacy and ultimately wants to complete her master's degree. Alisha loves camping, fishing and hunting, and she is a professional pool player. She hopes to work in the Domestic Violence field someday.

Lua Maloney, a native of Ecuador, is studying to become an elementary school teacher, preferably the 1st or 2nd grade. She plans to transfer to Arizona State University and complete her studies by 2012. Lua loves music and going to the park with her children, Kiara (10) and Erick (8). In an earlier life, Lua was the mother or step-mother of 7 children, plus a dog and a bird.

Dolores Robinson is a sophomore Business and Office Systems major from Missouri. She started at MCC in 1991 and expects to graduate from next year. Dolores likes to read, swim and spend time with her grandchildren and family. She volunteers her time to help teens go straight. She says, "if I can help one teenager to get off drugs and turn their life around, I thank God".
