Pat Inchausti

Pat Inchausti Pat Inchausti is a Computer Network Technician in the Business Department’s Multi-Use Lab (MUL). She has worked for the Maricopa District for 15 years. Her main focus is helping students, staff and faculty by keeping our hardware, software and networks operating properly. In addition to the MCC main campus, Pat has worked at GateWay CC, Paradise Valley CC and MCC Red Mountain. Pat wears many “hats”. She is a full-time MCCCD employee, a part-time Adjunct Faculty member, and a student at Northern Arizona University.

Pat was born and raised in México City before coming to this country 21 years ago. Her education is varied: She started out with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology/Ecology from Universidad Autónoma de México. She then learned English and added a certificate (Office Automation) and an A.A.S. degree (Computer Operations) from Maricopa Tech / GateWay CC. Pat earned several networking certifications, mostly in NetWare, during the 1990’s. She is currently completing her masters’ degree (M.Ed. in Educational Leadership, Community College Emphasis) and will be graduating from NAU this summer. Finally, Pat is working on her A.A.S. in Microsoft Networking Technologies at GWCC and expects to graduate in the summer of 2006. Whew!

Pat holds a Teaching Certificate from the Arizona State Board of Directors for Community Colleges and was recently recognized with the Adjunct Faculty Five-Year Continuous Service certificate from GWCC. She was previously presented the MCCCD Quantum Quality Award of Recognition, the Black and Gold Award for service excellence from Maricopa Tech, and the Outstanding Achievement Award from the GWCC Bilingual Vocational Training Program. She also holds a Special Education Bilingual Interpreter Certificate and a Certificate of Achievement from the Arizona Association of Chicanos/Hispanics for Higher Education (AACHE).

In her spare time, Pat enjoys painting and family activities and is also attending the MCCCD Supervisor Development Program. She volunteers for the Welcome Center and Prayer Partner teams at her local church. She is a blood donor and a bone marrow donor. Every two years, she cuts and donates her hair to Locks of Love for use in making children’s hair pieces. She’ll be cutting her hair for the fourth time this March.

Pat says the most interesting place she has ever been is San Blas, Nayarit, México. There, you can find jungle, rivers, beaches, deep sea fishing, delicious tropical fruits, a crocodile refuge, iguanas, both sea and land turtles, unique birding, and ecological experiences all in one place.

Pat and her husband, David, live in Mesa with their two children, Sebastian (15) and Maximilian (14). They will celebrate their 21st anniversary in June.
