Summer 2009 - Mesa Community College opened up it’s doors to 458 youth who participated in 15 Summer camps in June and July. This exciting program introduced more than 200 new families to what MCC has to offer.

Our Youth Campers ranged in age from 4-17 years who engaged in activities from the computer lab to the kitchen; and from the field to the planetarium. They learned leadership while visiting with the Student Body President, learned about Geography in the GIS lab, discovered how to learn math, and explored the scientific method.

We offered 21 different classes - from Theatre Workshops to Computer Camps. These classes were designed to continue to excite your child with wonderful learning opportunities long after their summer fun was over.

Studies have shown that the earlier a child is introduced to College, the more likely they are to continue their education after high school. A College education is becoming an essential tool for any successful adult in the 21st century. Your child's participation in this type of educational and engaging Summer program can be the start of a love of learning and a path to College academic success.
