We provide support and advisement services for adults in transition who are returning to education. We understand your special needs.

You don't have to be any certain age or have been out of school for any certain length of time. If you are returning to school after an absence from the educational world, you are considered a re-entry student. You can be male or female, and you could be 19 or 60 years old!

Services

  • Career Planning Resources which provide information related to your major and future career goals.
  • Give you general information about MCC departments, services, and college policies and procedures.
  • Assist with career planning and job search.
  • Assist you with developing an educational plan.
  • Provide you with scholarship information.
  • Help you find Childcare Services on Campus.
  • Give you referrals to community agencies.
  • Provide you with a social area where you can meet other re-entry students.

Finding Your Way

We can help you with a variety of confusing, and sometimes frustrating tasks such as setting up your online student account in My.maricopa.edu.

In your My.maricopa.edu Online Student Center, searching for classes, viewing your grades, registering for classes and making payments will be easier than ever! We're excited about the improved self-service features and convenience My.maricopa.edu offers you, but we realize you're bound to have questions.

When you come to see the Re-Entry advisor bring unofficial transcripts with you from all colleges that you previously attended. Read the college catalog for descriptions of degree programs and courses. Write down any questions you have and bring your questions with you. If you have minor children who will be needing Childcare Services while you are at school - consider the MCC Children's Center for quality care right on campus. You may qualify for reduced rates. Read more about the Children's Center and download the necessary forms here.

When will I pay for my classes?

Tuition payment is due at a scheduled date which is normally several weeks before classes begin. If you are applying for financial aid, you need to apply at least eight weeks before your tuition due date (if you don’t want out-of-pocket expenses). You will need to plan ahead! There is a Student Tuition Payment Plan at MCC which allows you to spread the tuition payment over two to four payments.

Don’t forget that you will also be required to buy books. You can get prices for your books by visiting the campus bookstore.
