We consider winning the 2004-2005 PEPSI AWARD as the #1 overall athletic program among scholarship colleges a major accomplishment and a reflection on the coaches and student-athletes at Mesa Community College. The Pepsi Award was initiated in 2004 by the National Alliance of Two-Year Athletic Administrators and is designed to recognize overall program excellence at the junior college level as well as to promote programs in all sports on an equal basis.

BECOME PART OF A WINNING PROGRAM

The athletic program at Mesa Community College is an integral part of the overall educational mission of this institution. We are affording educational opportunities to student-athletes that they might not otherwise have. A recent check of the rosters of our

Fall sport teams showed that 74% of our athletes are from Arizona. Our teams compete in nearly 300 games and matches during the school year, which says you could read about Mesa Community College in the daily newspapers on an almost daily basis. For many people, we are the public face of this College and an Ambassador for the College outside of Arizona since individuals and teams in six sports competed in 11 states ranging from California to Florida last year.
