Video Production

Video Production provides onsite video production, video editing, and video streaming for the entire MCC college community. Video Production is equipped with the technology and expertise to capture high quality video recordings of special events, such as graduation, community forums, or critical presentations as the recent VP of Student Affairs candidate forums.

Supporting IA's mission of enhancing the College's image, and connecting MCC to our communities through (visual) communication is our passion and goal.

We also offer DVD/Blu-ray creation services from edited video capture of College events. As video editing and DVD creation is a complicated and time consuming process these projects are accepted on an individual basis based on prior commitments and staffing. Please contact Ron Rangel for further information at 480-461-7613 or sa-video@mesacc.edu.

Streaming Video

Live streaming, means taking video (or audio) and broadcasting it live over the Internet. When events like this are streamed you can watch it at mesacc.edu/live.

The streaming process involves a camera for the video, an encoder to digitize the content, a video publisher where the streams are pushed to (or pulled from the encoder - depending on the encoder) and a Content delivery Network, to distribute and deliver the content.

Simply put, MCC has a streaming server "where larger, high quality video recordings can be fed directly to the viewer" without the need of the entire movie or video to download first. Video streaming through the internet is one of the most common solutions to long distance video presentations.
