Submit Potential News Item
MCC faculty, staff and students are encouraged to submit story ideas that may be of interest to the general public. Newsworthy submissions include timely seasonal interest, new information, has widespread readership interest, events and student success stories.
When submitting an idea, please provide as much information as possible and note; who is involved, what is happening or has happened, where and when the event will take place and why the information is relevant to the general public.
Related photos or video may also be helpful.
Submissions should include contact information including a phone number and e-mail address.

Helpful Tips:
- The Office of Institutional Advancement serves as the first point of contact for media outlets in order to provide accurate and timely information and for campus awareness. Input and updates of campus news items are always appreciated.
- Lead times vary, so submit content to be published a minimum of three weeks prior to the event.
- News requests and submissions do not guarantee publication. Resources and media outlet decisions dictate who and what stories will be covered.
