Communications

At IA, our job is -- simply -- to communicate. We communicate MCC's proud tradition of top academics and our reputation for leadership in teaching and learning, career development and community involvement for more than four decades.

Photos for Public Events

Individual photo releases are not necessary for crowd shots if a public event displays a sign stating the event name, date, and a contact phone number, along with this wording: “Photos taken at this public event may be used to promote and market Mesa Community College and the MCCCD. Please notify the photographer during the event if you prefer not to be photographed or call the number listed above.”

Individual departments are responsible for obtaining their own signs. The photographer should take a photo of the sign at the event and keep it on file. Attendees who don’t want to be photographed will contact the photographer and will be given a large colored dot to put on their shirt. That will help the photographer during the event to identify individuals not to be photographed and assist in screening the photos after the event. If a particular person is featured in the photo, the photographer should still obtain an individual permission form.

Intranet

The MCC Intranet serves as a communications center for employees, centralizing news and information about the college, employee awards and recognition, and resources to perform job duties. You can access the Intranet by bookmarking http://intranet.mesacc.edu or by clicking the "Intranet" link at the bottom of the MCC home page.  A college-wide email is sent out twice a week notifying employees of new items posted to the Intranet.

MCC Intranet

The Intranet

  • Replaces or merges websites formerly maintained by Institutional Advancement (Bulletin, SnapShot),
  • Incorporates links to resource websites (MCC Employee Resources, College Calendars),
  • Provides quick links to frequently used business tools (HRMS, my.maricopa.edu, SIS, etc.),
  • Provides an alternative to college-wide email.

All employees are encouraged to contribute to the Intranet.  Instructions on how to post information are available through the Help Quick Link or by contacting the Office of Institutional Advancement.

To access the site, you must log in using the username and password you use for MCC email. If you experience difficulties, please contact Bonny Smith at bonny.smith@mcmail.maricopa.edu or Andrew Green at andrew.green@mcmail.maricopa.edu or 480-461-7281.
