Dr. Jerry Davis

Dr. Jerry Davis,
Vice President of Administrative Services

Dr. Jerry Davis was appointed as vice president of administrative services at Mesa Community College on October 3, 2005. He brings more than 25 years of fiscal and academic experience to his new position. Most recently, he was employed by the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) where he served as vice president of administrative services for LACCD's Los Angeles Harbor College in Wilmington, CA. His main duties included management of all facilities, information technology, fiscal policy, auxiliary services, campus safety, human resources, and payroll.

He has worked in numerous other finance and administrative positions in California including; director of finance and administrative services at Evergreen Valley College, management services officer at UC Davis School of Medicine's Department of Neurology, and director of medical center finance for a major HMO. Aside from his administrative experience, Davis has taught college courses in the past, and if time allows, plans to teach macro economics with the Maricopa Community College District.

Davis earned a doctoral degree in public administration with an emphasis in public finance and public management from the University of Southern California. In addition, he received his M.B.A. in finance and management and his M.P.H. in health administration from UCLA. He received his bachelor's degree in economics from the University of California, Riverside.
